Great Homecoming Week, Sand Creek Massacre Memorial Run, Colorado Free Application Day

We want to thank everyone who helped to make our Homecoming Week so special. We did have to move our pep rally inside on Wednesday due to the weather, but it was still a lot of fun and we were able to celebrate our school and students. We moved the bonfire to Friday night after the football game. On Saturday night we had our annual Homecoming Dance, which was attended by over 150 students. I especially want to thank the local fire department, our staff, Mr. and Mrs. Hanks, the Booster Club, and Student Council for all of their time and hard work this past week!

On Sunday, October 13 at 2pm about 75 members of the Northern Arapaho Tribe will be at Strasburg High School. They will be passing through our town as part of the annual Sand Creek Massacre Memorial Run. We will have a bbq for the tribal members at our high school.

This Tuesday, October 15 is Colorado Free Application Day. Students may apply to most schools in Colorado free of charge on that date with a special code. We encourage our seniors to make use of this day to apply for any school they may be interested in.

Please refer to my Principal Page for a complete list of activities for this week.
