I grew up in Littleton, Colorado and went to Arapahoe High School. While in high school, I had the opportunity to help in elementary classrooms and it is then that I knew I wanted to teach. I went to the University of Northern Colorado where I majored in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Elementary Education and received a minor in Multi-Cultural Anthropology. I taught 4th and 5th grade for MANY years in APS, Chery Creek, and DPS. I started teaching in Strasburg in 2018 as a 5th grade teacher, and now have my dream job as a PE teacher.
When I am not at school I am spending time with my family. Aaron and I got married in 2018, and I am beyond blessed to have him in my life! I have two amazing children that I was fortunate to adopt as babies, Kade is in 10th grade and Aracel is in 8th. I also have four step-sons, Anders is 22, Aidan is 20 and in the Navy, and the twins Alex and Alden are in 10th grade. The kids are involved in sports and 4-H so I am a taxi driver in my spare time.
When I am not driving the kids around, I love to read, ride my horse, and travel.
Thank you so much for allowing me to learn from and with your children, run around and scream with them, and teach them how to take care of their body. I truly love my job, the kids, staff, and parents I get to work with every day!
