Superintendent's Corner

Dear Strasburg Community,

I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new superintendent of our dynamic school district. As I step into this role, I want to share with you the core beliefs that guide my approach to education, leadership, and just being a human being in general. These principles are deeply important to me, and I believe they will help us work together to create an environment where every student can thrive.

1. Students First: My foremost priority is always the well-being and success of our students. Every decision we make, every policy we implement, and every initiative we undertake will be centered around what is best for our students. They are the heart of our community, and their growth and development are at the core of all we do.

2. Progress Over Perfection: I believe in the power of progress and continuous improvement. We must focus on making incremental strides rather than striving for an unattainable perfection. Growth comes from embracing challenges and learning from our experiences, and it's through these efforts that we achieve lasting success.

3. Genuine and Authentic Relationships: Building sincere and meaningful relationships is crucial in our educational journey. I am committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and respected. By nurturing these authentic connections, we create a supportive community where collaboration and trust can flourish.

4. Everyone Has a Story Worth Hearing: Every member of our community brings a unique perspective and experience. I am dedicated to listening to and understanding the diverse stories of our students, families, and staff. It is through these stories that we gain insight, empathy, and a richer understanding of one another.

5. Find the Joy: Education should be a source of joy and inspiration. I encourage us all to celebrate our successes, big and small, and to find joy in the learning process. By cultivating a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere, we can create an environment where students are eager to learn and grow.

6. Admit Mistakes: We are all human, and mistakes are an inevitable part of our journey. I believe in the importance of owning up to our errors and using them as opportunities for growth. By being transparent and learning from our missteps, we can foster a culture of resilience and continuous improvement.

7. Everything is Figureoutable: Challenges and obstacles are a natural part of any endeavor, but I firmly believe that with creativity, collaboration, and determination, everything is figureoutable. Together, we can find solutions to any problem and overcome any barrier that stands in our way.

I am excited to embark on this journey with you and look forward to working together to build a bright and successful future for our students. Your support and engagement are vital as we move forward, and I am eager to learn from and collaborate with each of you and the days and months unfold.

Let’s make this an extraordinary year together - it's our year!
